I’m back for another house update because things are progressing quickly! We’ve entered the phase when all our customization is coming to life, so each visit to the house is quite exciting. We still don’t have a closing date (agh!), but chances are pretty good it will be sometime in July, so we’re in approaching the home stretch. The latest developments include tile, cabinets, and a cute little tree in the front yard 🙂
Here’s a look at the progress over the past two weeks:
May 24th, 2020: I pretty much squealed when I saw that (almost) all tile has been installed! I say “almost” because the backsplash in the kitchen remains to be done. The pictures below show the tile work in our laundry room and bathrooms. Plus, all those boxes are our cabinets!
May 31st, 2020: The cabinets are in! The cabinets in our kitchen, butler’s pantry, laundry room, and bathrooms have been installed. (They might appear shiny in the photos due to the protective plastic wrap on them). We also got our tiny little tree in the front yard, along with some landscaping.
Next up will be our light fixtures and flooring. I’ll also be anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new countertops, as that will really give a sense of the final look of the kitchen and bathrooms.
